Hey Artists! The Sangres Art Guild is sponsoring a Fall Show at 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe during September.

Violinist Duo to Perform Benefit

A mother and daughter pair of classical violinists, Heidi Itashiki and her daughter, Chloe Trevor, recently returning from a world-class tour, will present a short program of pieces by Bach, Sarasate, Wieniawski and Corigliano, including music from the 1998 Academy Award winning film “The Red Violin”.

Chloé was introduced to the violin at age 2 by her mother, Heidi Trevor Itashiki, Dallas Symphony violinist. She later studied with Arkady Fomin, Dallas Symphony violinist and Artistic Director of the New Conservatory of Dallas. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras worldwide, including the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Latvian Chamber Orchestra, Slovak State Philharmonic, Plano Symphony and the Knoxville Symphony. Silver medalist of the 2008 Ima Hogg Competition, Chloé Trevor, is one of the rising stars on today’s international violin scene. Chloé plays on a Carlos Landolfi violin made in Italy in 1771, and a bow by Etienne Pajeot.

Entry was Saturday July 25, 2015 for the Southern Colorado Watercolor Society‘s “High on Art” watermedia show, hosted by Sangres Art Guild.  The artwork entered is superb!  There are 40 artworks entered by 23 artists. Judge Gerald Merfeld took his time and carefully considered the awards, which will be posted here after they are announced at the Artists’ Reception:  Saturday, August 1, 2015, 4-6 pm at 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe, Colorado (59000 N. Hwy 69; just a few steps north of Main Street).
