Shades of Summer Peoples’ Choice Awards

1st Place: Judy Sprague of Poncha Springs – “Waiting To Dance” – Pastel

2nd Place: Jeanie Truitt of Canon City – “Midnight Glow” – Watercolor

The show had 40 unique entries with new and returning artists.  The voting was close.

The show is sponsored by the Sangres Art Guild, a non-profit, and is open to the public, artists, art lovers and collectors through August 31 at 3rd Street Gallery. In addition to the artwork, the SAG Fine Art Calendar for 2021 is available for sale as well as artwork by Gallery Hosts on the second level. Thanks to all who attended the opening reception and voted for Peoples’ Choice.

Come and behold a joy of reckless, wild and longer days by moseying over to see some mighty fine art, inspired by the way of life in the Wet Mountain Valley. Celebrate summer in the Sangres with the latest fine art, photography and 3D art. Enjoy the Volunteer’s artwork in the upper level.

The Shades of Summer Art Show reception is August 1 from 11am to 5pm. Attendees will be able to vote for People’s Choice Awards and refreshments will be available. Social distancing will be followed; masks are required.

Heart Land Show Awards

July 4th marked the Opening Reception of our Heart Land Art Show, where the public voted on Peoples’ Choice awards. First place was Mary Leslie Hartman’s oil painting “Old Soul.” Second place went to Pattie Wall for her pastel “Yucca.” Congratulations!
