Summer Show Exhibits Fine Art in the Sangres

The 2016 Summer Show with an Ice Cream Social Reception opened to a big crowd on Saturday, July 2. Eighty to 100 people attended the two-hour event.

Twenty-one artists displayed 51 pieces of original art, including oil, acrylic, photography, fiber, watercolor, ceramics, pastel, encaustic and sculpture. The Ice Cream Social served six varieties of fresh baked pies, all perfect with enough to have seconds. The pie was accompanied by velvety, maple-vanilla, home-churned ice cream. These refreshments were superb and, while you can visit the Summer Gallery Show from now until Aug. 13 – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Mondays – you really missed out if you didn’t make the social.

Congratulations to the winners. The work was of high quality and represents a diversity of talent and topics. Here are the winners.
