Artist's Statement

My art is expressionistic. It comes from a creative urge I could not deny. The paintings are meant to be viewed in a contemplative state. Figures reveal themselves in the paintings according to your mood, lighting, acceptance and distance from the art work.The paintings transform and change, sometimes telling a story. I refer to them as meditative paintings.
