Artist's Statement

As an artist my goal is to bring pleasure to many about the wonders of our planet whether it be man-made or nature. I try to lure the viewer into my paintings. I love the challenge of conveying the sense of awe I feel from being outside or looking at a particular subject. I have always been fascinated by history and architecture. My passion for people has lead me to portraits but the biggest challenge there is you have to know the person to capture their personality in the painting by showing that twinkle in the eye or the thoughts they are thinking. I hope you can hear the sounds of nature through my paintings or the sounds of the city in my cityscapes. I love the challenge of creating the curiosity to explore further in my paintings.
