Winter Wonders Art Show, Reception and Voting for Board Members

Baby, it’s cold outside. A time to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the simple things in life as nature sleeps. Come and view this special show for the holidays, our small works show makes for exceptional gifts. Enjoy the Volunteer show in the upstairs gallery.

The Reception is this Saturday, December 5th, 11 – 4pm. This time frame allows for social distancing, and masks are required. Take away refreshments will be available as well. The show runs until December 21. Come and vote for the People’s Choice awards.

SAG Members:  this reception is when you vote for upcoming Board of Directors for SAG.

If you are not able to attend or don’t feel comfortable in attending, you can vote by Proxy.  Your proxy must be emailed to the SAG Secretary at no later than NOON on Saturday, Dec. 5th.  The links to the Proxy and Ballot are below.

Winter Wonders Art Show

Volunteers Deb, ShuShu and Terri (not pictured) hang the “Winter Wonders” art show which runs Nov. 19 – Dec. 21 at 3rd Street Gallery. The Opening Reception is Saturday, Dec. 5, 11 – 4. Come join us before the parade and vote for your People’s Choice Award. Also SAG members vote for new incoming BOD. This show features small works of art, affordable for gift giving. This show is sponsored by the Sangres Art Guild and is the last show for 2020.

Winter Wonders Call to Artists

The holiday are here and now is the perfect time to create smaller pieces of art for great gift giving. Sangres Art Guild (SAG) is calling all artists to participate in our last show for 2020, Winter Wonders Art Show. Intake for the show is Sunday and Monday, November 15 and 16 at the 3rd St. Gallery, from 11am to 4pm both days.

This is a small works show and is limited to 5 pieces, and  is open to artists and photographers of all ages, SAG members or non-members. 2D and 3D artworks in all mediums are accepted.  For more information, including size of artwork, see the Winter Wonders Art Show page.

Fall Frolic 2020 Winners

CONGRATULATIONS to Pattie Wall for 1st Place People’s Choice Award for her oil, Chicken Dance, truly a unique piece.

This show we had a tie for 2nd Place People’s Choice Awards:  Deb Yarra for her Metallic Photograph on Canvas, Enchanting Misty Waterfall and Michael Arterburn for his oil, Along the Ridge.

Kite Flying Results

Fun was had by participants from Custer County and grandkids visiting from Broomfield, Thornton and Buena Vista, Colorado. As you will see below, you are never too young or too old to go fly a kite!
