Congratulations to new SAG-member Jane Hunt for her painting “Coors Field” being chosen as the PleinAirCollector.com Award of Excellence winner from the Colorado Plein Air Event.
Thanks to SAG member Jane Hunt, a Facebook page for the 3rd St. Gallery was recently created. It is a wonderful and effective way to promote the gallery and it’s artists. Please take a moment to visit the new page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/3rd-Street-Gallery/604881412902520 and “like” it!
If you don’t have a Facebook account already, get one – it’s a great, free way to get tons of exposure for your work. If you’re a SAG artist, we need your work to be included on the 3rd St. Gallery page. Email Jane Hunt for specifics.

This is kinda late, but congratulations go to Gary and Hulda Benson for selling greater than 30% of their photography in a black and white show in Colorado Springs last month. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations to Alla Prima Westcliffe award winners! The artwork is spectacular; the show is one well-worth seeing. At the opening reception and award ceremony on October 5, 25 artists entered 57 great artworks, several of which sold before the night was done. Fourteen major awards were earned and 10 artist’s door prizes were drawn at random. With the additional four door prizes and one painting-of-the-day award given at Friday night’s Wet Wall event the night prior, a total of 29 awards and door prizes were had by the artists.
Good food and wine was generously provided by Westcliffe Wine Mine, Schlabach’s Deli, Sugar N Spice Bakery, Westcliffe Supermarket and Antlers Liquor. Special thanks to Bridget O. and Angie A. for putting together the reception and keeping all supplied with good cheer.
