The Abbey Events Complex in Cañon City announces a call to artists for the 10th Annual Religious Fine Art Show opening August 13th, 2019. They are seeking works in a wide range of media and genres that are religious (all religions accepted), inspirational or Abbey related in some way. Your Land, My Land Opening Reception

This Saturday, July 6, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. An artistic celebration of the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds us all. People’s Choice awards, ribbons and cash, will be announced and presented toward the end of the reception following the close of voting. Artists are encouraged to attend and invite their clients to make this a successful event. A patriotic gathering of art & friends.

Library Craft Fair

The Summer Craft Fair benefiting the West Custer County Library will be held July 18, 19, and 20 at Hope Lutheran Church’s Lange Hall. The application forms are available at the Library beginning Tuesday, June 18. It is always a fun event with many attendees and provides such wonderful benefits for our valley.

2020 Calendar Show Reception

Thank you to all who attended the opening reception for the 20/20 Visions Calendar Show held May 4th at the 3rd Street Gallery. It is a great show and had over 70 guests/patrons who came to view the new artwork!

A huge congratulations to the People’s Choice award winners at the 20/20 Visions Calendar show.  1st place went to Connie Reinke’s acrylic piece titled “Aspen Snow” and 2nd place went to Karen LeBlond for her raku clay framed art titled “The Night Guides Me Home”.

The winners of the door prizes went to Arlene Babylon for winning the autographed SAG 20/20 Visions art calendar and to SAG member Sharon Conner of Canon City who won 2 tickets to the High Mountain Hay Fever bluegrass festival July 11 – 14. Thank you to Polly Miller for donating those great tickets!

The gallery is OPEN for the season.  There is still plenty of time to see the 20/20 Visions Calendar Show, which runs from May 4 to July 1.  The gallery is open Thursday – Mondays, 11 to 4pm.
