The 2012 Calendar Show was a huge success. There were 95 entries from 42 artists! Several new artists joined SAG and we had some good friends return. The quality of the artwork was outstanding so the competition was impressive.
Tom Lockhart, our juror, carefully judged the entries. He provided much feedback on the artwork which was shared with the artists. He chose Charles Frizzell’s artwork The Ides of March as his Juror’s Choice and $200 cash winner. Charles’ image was also selected as our cover artist. The other 11 artworks winning a spot on the calendar are shown below.

The grand reception for the show was on May 7, 2011, at which time 3 People’s Choice Awards were selected by attendees. Sarah Woods garnered the most votes for original 2D art, Melissa Getz for original 3D art, and Carol Martinez for Photography. Each of these artists received a $100 cash award and ribbon.
