2014 Calendar Art Competition: “Capture the Moment”
Our annual Fine Art Calendar competition kicked off the season with style! The reception at the 3rd Street Gallery was very well attended, hosting folks from around the country for comeraderie, food, drink, and enjoyment of the artwork.
Thirteen splendid pieces of art were chosen to fill the pages of our 2014 Fine Art Calendar. Thirty-four other superb artworks were on display and were for sale. A portion of sales benefit the Sangres Art Guild.
We had an excellent turn out for the show. Thirty one artists entered 81 artworks. At least one piece from each artist was accepted. The first round of selection by a local panel of judges narrowed the field to 47 entries. The juror, Chuck Mardosz, then selected the 13 pieces for the calendar from the 47.
Nearly all artworks got voted on. It shows folks really like our stuff! Keep up the good work. Now, go create.
Congratulations to the 13 Contest Winners!
