The Artist’s Choice Show had a great turnout! It featured works of over 30 artists throughout the region as well as over 60 unique pieces of artwork. The show also featured Motor sports Paintings and Greg Smith book signing of “Altitude Adjustment,” his newly released book. Over 50 people came and voted for the People’s Choice awards, which were:
1st Place People’s Choice
- Lorna Linza for her soft pastel “Cat at Large”
2nd Place People’s Choice
- Michael Arterburn for his pastel “Ram Portrait”
Both artists are from Westcliffe, CO and members of Sangres Art Guild.
The Artist’s Choice show runs until the 26th of September at 3rd St. Gallery. In addition to the Artist’s Choice show, there is artwork by 25 of our SAG volunteers on the 2nd floor and new this year is artwork by our area youth. 3d St. Gallery is open 11am to 4pm, Thursday to Monday and is brought to you by SAG, a non-profit 501 (c)(3).
