Arts Hullabaloo returns for its 16th year with exciting new events and returning old favorites guaranteed to share the fun of creativity for kids of all ages. During September 23–25, participants will spend three fun-filled, awe-inspiring days packed with events creating warm memories of the Wet Mountain Valley, showcasing the arts, visual arts, performing arts, musical arts as well as the Art of History and star gazing to name a few.
Friday
Chalk Art Competition starts. There will be prizes for kids, families and adults. The theme for this year is ‘The Heart of Custer County’. This really allows you to use your imagination. It can encompass almost anything; family, wildlife, music, art, scenic beauty, the seasons, dark skies, history, there really is no limit. The judging is done by age group.
You can pick up your sidewalk chalk and entry form at Greenstone Artworks, 100 Main St. from 10am to 4pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday. The competition ends at 3pm on Saturday and will be judged after that. The spots for the creation of your Chalk Art will be marked. The chalk art is for all ages as well as families and finishes up on Saturday. Final artwork is judged with cash and special prizes awarded.
Saturday
“Saturday in the Park” returns with favorite vendor’s showcasing various arts & crafts, kids’ face painting, kids paint too, roving musicians, dance, entertainment and FUN.
Also returning is our “Quick Draw Competition” with models intended for all ages, and People’s Choice awards.

- Peoples’ Choice Awards – public invited to vote

- Live models and interesting stuff to draw or paint

- Bring your own art supplies
- Final artwork may be framed or unframed.
- Sales of artwork are commission-free and must be handled by the artist. Artists can set up a vendor booth for sales all day. See the Vendor Application form.
Sunday
“Sunday on the Bluff” is a fabulous time with family and friends. You’ll create hand decorated kites and handmade paper planes, compete in various family games and more. Another great day of family fun!

Vendors:
Enjoy sales of your artwork or fine craft in Jess Price Park during Arts Hullabaloo. For a small fee, artists/vendors can set up a 10’x10′ booth and sell their artwork or fine craft without commissions. All sales and sales taxes are the responsibility of the exhibitor.
