A cheery, joyful collection of original art created by local and regional artists. This was an open competition for the People’s Choice awards. Come enjoy the new show as well as the artwork in the upper gallery by our volunteers.
What a beautiful day for the June Show reception, which was held June 4th and featured over 20 different mediums, including 2D, 3D and Photography. In addition to the People’s Choice awards, visitors got to watch a demo on “Juniper Wood” sculpting by Barry Massey while listening to music by Liz VanSomeren, Tim Johnson, Bob Reed and others.
The June Show People’s Choice Awards:
1st Place Melody DeBenedictis for her oil, “Tree Hugger” and 2nd Place People’s Choice “Shhhh” mixed media by Alisha Waugh, both of Westcliffe, Colorado. The June Art Show runs through June 27th.
In addition to the main floor show, the 2nd floor features artwork of 25 artists who volunteer for SAG. Make sure to check out our feature youth walls: “Young Artists’ Wall” – The Reno & Terrill families and “Middle/High School Wall” – The Brain family and Harrison Walter.
