The Sangres Art Guild in Custer County, Colorado, promotes the arts in the Wet Mountain Valley to create a dynamic, supportive environment for the visual arts to flourish. We operate the 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe to provide support for our members’ artistic endeavors and foster commerce in our community through the visual arts.

Our Artist Members are also the volunteers that passionately bring their expertise to each and every aspect of the gallery, including behind the scenes through social media, planning, and website operations.Learn more about becoming a Volunteer.

Calendar Show "Peace in the Valley"

The Sangres Art Guild returns to evening receptions with our “Peace in the Valley” - 2025 Calendar Show Reception on our 2024 Season 3^rd Street Gallery opening day, May 4^th, 2024.

The Sangres Art Guild Fine Art Calendar Show and Sale features all of the entries from the 2025 Calendar Art Competition, including the 13 winners selected by juror Gloria Countryman to be published in the 2025 Calendar – “Peace in the Valley”. Calendar Juror Gloria Countryman is an international award-winning artist, as well as a professional art critic.

Gallery hours 11am - 4pm, Thursday through Monday.

People's Choice Awards

Our first set of People's Choice awards have been issued to 1st place winner Lauren Dwyer, Oil painting "Gentle Peace"(Left), and to 2nd place winner Jill Westbrook, Watercolor painting "Mood Indigo" (Right). Currently on view on the first floor.

Both artists have wall spaces filled with beautiful pieces on the second floor. Stop by and see pieces by these artists and many more!
