Reflections
November begins the darkening of the light, shorter days and more time for reflection. Artists can use this subject as literal, the beautiful reflections of objects in water or as a metaphor. Come see what the artists have to share! Reception is Nov 1st from 1-4pm includes refreshments.
Jordan Hedberg, editor of the Wet Mountain Tribune will be selecting the Community Award.
Musicians will be the gentle and gracious tones of Simple Gifts, Linda Llorraine on autoharp and Barb Saint-Amour, guitar, violin, vocals and harmonies. How perfect for this show theme! You won't want to miss this reception!
Westcliffe's own, Karen LeBlond will be sharing her unique and fabulous pottery creations with us during the reception.
Her influence has always been Oriental and Raku and Terra Sigilatta, Horsehair Firing and Salt Saggar lend themselves well to that. She also loves creating large wall pieces that are low relief and depict the beautiful rugged outdoors of the West and capturing the beauty and intensity of our magnificent Dark Skies and their effect on the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Winter Solstice
The last SAG show of the year is the holiday show, sporting tables with small art objects, jewelry, cards and the like as well as the option to make ornaments together during the reception Dec 6th from 1-4pm. Winter Solstice is honoring the depth of darkness, the shortest days, the long shadows and the metaphor for change and transformation. Bring your family and don’t miss this last collective art endeavor of 2025!
Make sure you come in during December to check out the wide variety of small art objects set up and on sale just for your shopping desires, offering your friends and relatives handmade and unique items made in Colorado!
Music during the reception will be performed by The Celtic Mountain Strings. You will love these hammered dulcimers, guitars, mountain dulcimers, violin, cello and Celtic drum playing a wide variety of classic and original Celtic tunes!
Featured Activity
We'll be supplying materials to make watercolor ornaments for Christmas, so come to the reception and get your creative fix on!
